Looks a little weird with the glass still left.

Everyone's a critic! ;)

It was hard enough finishing off the half of the windscreen that was missing and putting the doors back on so I did my best... I kinda like it though. The back window looks good I think but it's subjective of course.

there are some nice photoshop tutorials on adobe's site. You should DEFINITELY check them out, since it looks as if you could use some major help.

It wasn't meant to be a major demonstration of PhotoShop abilities just a quick example of what the car might look like with the roof off. There's no need to be so darned rude! I only spent a few minutes on it rather than the hour or so I would have to have used to make it perfect. Let's see you do better in approximately ten minutes (if you can). Man, I can't believe your attitude RX8Lover. What an unpleasant person you must be! (& that's my seriously edited POLITE response - it wasn't always so!)

Now that I see what you had to work with, it ain't half bad. I in no way intended to insult your photoshop abilities, especially considering that my PS skills suck.:)

that looks very nice. i think the rx8 is prefect for a convertible because of the extra doors.

It looks cool, but I think they would have to go without the rear doors wouldn't they? Because without the roof to latch to it wouldn't be very solid!

that's true, the convertible wouldn't have the rear doors, should Mazda decide to make a convertible...besides that they have to add those bars in the back of the seats to protect the passengers should the car flip over...don't know what thsoe are called on the convertibles

anyways, lensmen, it looks good...i'd love a convertible of this car...i think the car was made to look great as a convertible

That's actually a Miata prototype for the 3rd gen. Mazda seems to be using the same face on alot of their concept cars this year.

I know I'll get roasted over this...

What's the fascination with convertibles?!?! I think the RX-8 looks AMAZING with a roof, but looks like crap as a convertible. I hope Mazda doesn't even bother!

Sorry!!

Nothing beats a convertible on a clear, cool, stary night.

And then when the hair begins to thin you will go back to a hard top due to the fear that the wind is yanking your hair, one by one, from their follicles.

After almost all of your hair is gone you will figure the war is lost and get another converible. This stage is also known as a mid life crisis.

I personally wouldn't want one. My friends said the same thing about 4X4ing with a Jeep... I did it... still hate Jeeps! :)
