I was wondering if anyone knows about any good VW forums. No, I haven't gone crazy and gave up on rotaries, just my sister has a GTI and is going to Spain for 6 month, so I get it.:) I want to brush up on the GTI's ins and outs.

Good: driving experience, interior design and materials. More like a junior Audi than an economy car.

Bad: Niggling problems with electrical system, squeaks and rattles, window regulators, indifferent (or downright awful) VW dealers,poor support from VWoA, and a HELL of a problem with the engines (coilpacks).

I think what VW needs to be perfect are quality components sourced from Japanese manufacturers. I posted this once on the Vortex (I had a 2000 GTI 1.8T) and everyone agreed, but lamented it would never happen.
