Just wandering whether a 5 year old child could be positioned on the central drivetrain columm and if a small racing type harness could be used as seat belts , as i have 3 children aged 15 11 and 5 it would be nice to ocasionally go for a spin together. I NOTICED THAT THERE seems TO BE ENOUGH room .in the rear between the 2 bucket seat for a small child .HIS MEASUREMENTS. ARE .height 116cm width 21cm weight approx. 22kg. any assistance would be appreciated.

I wouldn't dare put a child on that.... think of the danger..

And that "hump" is part of the backbone chassis, so it's not gonna be gotten rid of.

You could always put someone in the trunk.

Think it would be mega danagerous, it's built as a four seater - not a five!! Sorry Chap - one kid will have to stay at home!

There is no way you'll be able to put a child on the center hump. In addition to it being extremely unsafe, the central hump has all sorts of storage space, so you'd most likely bow that, if not completely destroy it. And I seriously doubt it would be very comfortable.

Maybe some kind of saddle for the hump could be developed to hold the five year old. It could lock into place using the storage bin and the trunk pass through as anchor points and include its own shoulder belt.

Would you really feel confident in designing such a setup in a safe way for your child? First of all, it wouldn't be legal. Second, I've seen so many people incorrectly mount 4-point belts (foolishly and ignorantly assuming that it was perfectly safe), that I wouldn't suggest that anyone try setting something like this up for their children.

Dont woooooory i would not in any way endanger the lives of any of my children , i was thinking out loud ,anyway the 15 year old is getting to the stage where he would rather stay home with his friends and not always with mum and dad it wont be long before he wants the car keys to take out his girlfriend ouch i am getting on .Iguess we will have to draw straws as who gets to go .THE GOOD THING IS THE WIFE ONLY DRIVES AUTO HA HA HA HA .Any how thanks for your input .lightning yellow 6 speed manual all leather interior hi -power cant wait to get it..
