has anyone ever used this product? i was wondering if it straches the car.....

Iv'e used it before and it hasnt scratched my cars.....im guessing just like the California waterblade,if you catch a rock or small pebbles its going to scratch the paint.

...Car Duster and the Interior model. Both have worked very well for me and seem to be very popular with the "enthusiast-detailer" crowd. I haven't gotten any scratches or such from using it, which is pretty much everyday after a detailing day as long as the weather's dry.

Be warned though to follow the directions on "seasoning" it if you buy one...the fibers do have a very thick coating of parrafin wax on them when new (this is what attracts the dust and dirt). You need to spread the duster out onto some newspaper for a day or so to get rid of the excess wax. After that, your golden!

I use one of those static dusters for inside, not sure if mine is called a CA duster though. It's needed as the interior of my car is all black and you can easily see any dust that sits around. It works well.... I don't use it on the outside of the car though - silver hides dust.

I've had a positive experience with them in the past.

Also make sure you shake it regularly. Use a shop vac once a month or so to suck some of the dust out of it.

I have both the exterior and interior models. They work great and will not scratch. I even use it to dust my Energy Veritas gloss black lacquer speakers and the screen on my wide screen tv. Better than swifters. Walmart has them both for cheap.

I use it all the time on the interior and it works great. I also use it after a good day of washing + detailing, as it's very good at removing the pieces of lint that remain on the windows, and any towel lint on the body.

Love the Duster. Just follow the directions on the package.

Been using them for over 10 years now. It is da bomb for removing that nasty pine pollen in the spring!

I use my CA duster every night after the car has cooled down and is in the garage. I use a small CA duster on the wheels and another one on the interior.

Just follow the conditioning and use instructions.

if u guys look close enough, you will see some really fine scratches. i should know, i got mine about a month ago, i let it dry for about 3 days, then right after i waxed my car i used it, and i saw some lines on my paint. thats why i dont use it anymore........

Sure it wasn't lines in the dust? Also, you may have had debris in it...

Mine has never scratched my paint. Those scratches were there from the wax job. The CA duster should not be mashed down hard enough to leave scratches. It should be lightly dragged accross the surface, just bareely touching it!

Yeah, I've been using a CA duster for about 10 years now on different cars/colors and have not seen any scratches. If you see scratches It's possible they were already there or you pressed way too hard (didn't follow the instructions) or something was caught/stuck in your that caused the scratch.

i have had the exterior duster for over about a year and a half and it stills does a great job.

I have a larger OXO brand duster for the exterior and a small version for the interior. A quick shake-out of the dust (outside of the garage or away from the car) after each use seems to keep the duster in top shape.

ill give it another try, and see if i still scratch it, i might have some sh*t stuck on the fabric that scratched my paint.

i clean my duster every use! but i swear i can see lines of scratches........i dusted my car after i drove it for 30 minutes after a car wash.........

i thought i had the same problem several years ago with my eclipse.. ended up being wax traces left formt eh wax int he duster. its true, the dirtier they get, the better they work.

That's why you need to let it sit overnight on news paper. To get rid of the excess paraffin wax.

hmmmm i already did that. i know what scratches are and what wax is.......its not wax..its like .....lines....................
