Anybody got any info on auto 0-60 and 1/4 mile right now? I haven't got it yet, so that's why I am asking.

How about right now? Crap, didn't japan already receive their 8s? I bet somebody must have got auto and recorded quarter and 60.

It's only been a week, if you just got your 8, would YOU push it to red-line before it had enough time for proper breakin?

Well the 6 speeder 's time was about 7.5 from a stop. So the 5 speeder should be pushing high 7's possibly low 8's?

5.9 is with a 8K RPM Clutch Drop.

But you're right about the Auto being 4 speed my bad.

Sucks tho shoulda been a 5 speed tranny.

If you really want a 5 speed auto - wait a year or two. I'd guarantee that within 2 years the RX-8 will switch the auto from a 4 speed to a 5 speed auto; I'd also put money on there being a 6 speed SMT available...

Mak: keep the questions, comments and concerns coming. This is the right place, for the right car. I've been corrected many times, and spanked by the moderators twice. There have been many forum members who joined months later than I know 10x what I know about the car (especially the UK guys!).

What I do know is that I bought one (technically only pre-ordered) and that I've sat in one and played with it for 2 hours at the L.A. auto show. This is the car for me. I hope it meets your wants and needs too.
