Men with womens names and women with guys names.
Seriously a guy named stacy or carrol.
Or a girl named randy.
What were the parents thinking its like naming your kid "soda"
Any 1 else have thoughts on this.

Well, Carroll Shelby (as in Shelby Mustang and Cobra fame) is a guy, and look how he turned out. ;)

I went to school with a girl named Randy. She was pretty hot.

I don't know any men named Stacy, but my wife's name is Stacey. She turned out just fine. Mhmmm. :D

Randy or Randi - in some countries that takes on an entirely new meaning. Was Randy randy?

There's a family in our neighborhood where the father legally adopted the 12 year old boy of his wife. When the adoption was final, and the boy's last name was changed, they used the opportunity to allow the boy to change his FIRST name as well. The boy opted for..................................are you ready?

I dunno....maybe it's just me.....but isn't that a rather unusual first name?

I've known a couple guys from West Virginia who had the name Connie.

A friend knew a woman named Cam. (Immediately after her birth, her father, somewhat inebriated, decided he didn't like the original name the mother had picked out, and decided on an auto-related name.)

Damn the luck! I have noticed that alot of females with kind of cool names somehow have the looks to match. I have never seen an unattractive Jasmine, Tonia, Sonia, Amber, Carmen, etc.

Heh androgyny can suck. My name is Aaron. It also seems to be the thoughest for people to spell. Erin is usually the feminin way of spelling it, but I have met a guy who had it that way. I also knew this guy in his 40's who spelt it Ahren. He said his parents were huge Lord of the Rings fans and were about to name him Aragorn.
Usually the chick's I have known named Randy have been really hot.

My name's Pat and my wife is Erin. When we're introduced together, people look back and forth trying to guess who's who. Usually, they get it reversed so we get mail to Aaron and Pat.

One of my good guy friends is named "Loren" like the girl's names Lauren. All the guys hated him and all the girls loved him in high school...so it wasn't all that bad I guess ;)

...I know a couple who named their kids Casey and Cory; what is the gender of each?

(I would have thought the other way around; either way, to close to androgyny in my opinion. Oh and no offense to those out there in the forum who might actually have these names).

OK - not quite on topic - but I worked with a guy named Dick Palm

My last name is Grace and in school some friends used to call each other by their last name - so when that happened around a stranger - I had to explain it was my last name.

I actually like Casey as a girl's name, but I kinda got talked out of it cause my wife had a name she had been dying to use on our first girl (Lily). I am glad with our choice.

I would hate to be named Richard Palmer, though...
