that seems a bit silly any 1 can buy a 30x scope and a black light and what a bout just getting a grinder or polisher to buff it down. a bit silly but hey if it works more power to it.

U really dont need the microscope. just buy a black light and scrape off anything that glows. low tech beats out high tech.

Well, it would take a while to scrape off 10,000 of these things on one car. And time is not something that a professional car theif has. They want the process to be as fast as possible

I dont think it is that easy.

Its not so easy to get them all off.....all major components are marked, wheels, all panels, seat frames, all drivetrain components.......theft of high value vehicles has plummeted since this system was introduced in Australia. It's really taken off here, new BMW's sold here have them as standard now (incl the X5 which is actually made in the States!).

There is still a point. It would just be easier to steal a car that didnt have these on it. Thats the whole point. It is a theft deterrent mechanism

You know...if my 8 got nicked, I'd not want to get it back!! It would never be the same. Violated!! Every time I'd drive the car, my mind would think of hitting curbs, grinding gear...cheap 87 oct gas!!!
