I never saw the Original one with Sandy duncan.

I was too young.

I just like the way they sing in musicals, especially when they sing to dichotomous songs in harmony.

What's the actual term for that?

Well, I have so far seen two musicals, Phantom of the Opera & Les Miserables live and both were awesome. Also had the opportunity to see Marriage of Figgaro at the Met in NYC and that was great too. The amazing voices always blow me away and you're right about the harmony. Its a wonder they can hit all those high notes and still continue singing.

On VHS/DVD I've seen numerous, the favorite being My Fair Lady.

I did not enjoy Les Miserables. Too sad and gloomy for my liking.
I like musicals to be fun and joyful and lively.

just about all the musicals i've seen end up gloomy - Ms. Saigon, Phantom of the Opera, Rent, etc...come to think of it, the only one that was really upbeat was Blue Man Group but does that one even count as a musical??

Ms. Saigon is kinda sad, but at least they have pretty young girls dancing and singing, not old and dirty Jean Valjean.

it's a good thing! it's what every guy yearns for in a girl...low maintenance means easy going...high maintenance are those prissy chicks that always like to be wined and dined and shown a good time - ALL THE TIME, hence the level of maintenance

yeah i like em! I am a huge fan of the Music Man! guys and dolls is a good one too. i was even in Oklahoma in high school. i had a chorus part plus a dance number and 2 lines!! it was a lot of fun.

the Buffy episode was a great one. not as good as the silent episode but probably 2nd best in my book.

Oh I totally forgot!!!! Two more muisicals and one of them was mad funny!!

Avenue Q - Hilarious musical, done with puppets and humans
Cabaret - I managed to catch this on Broadway before it went off. Amazing production and music, though sad ending as usual.

Yes, Miss Saigon was very good, but hands down my absolute favorite musical is:

Cole Porter's Anything Goes

I could watch it over and over.
