I am new 8 owner. I used to have a truck and didn't worry about speed bumps. Does anyone know if they are really harmful to the car? A guy I work with claims that it is very bad for the suspension.

 

I wouldn't hit them like Evil Knevil jumping a row of 15 cars. If you do hit it hard enough you can throw your alignment out.

 

You just have to be careful... my 8 isn't lowered, but when loaded up with a lot of people or luggage, it drops a bit, twice already I've gone over at a snail's pace and still scraped (ie, going slower/different angle would not have helped)...
