Angry Well This is New..(Sunroof Woes)

Well, I have just over 16k on the car and this is my first complaint...It seems like almost every other time, when I put up the Sunroof/Moonroof (whatever it is)...I press the button to close it, and it wont close...I've tried it stopped, while driving...with the key in just the "On" position.. And I'll finally get it to close by either "hitting" the whole control panel then depressing the slide button, or..It will close with the "tilt" button..which is weird, cause I used the slide button to open it....Any ideas?..Crossed wires maybe?..I think I need to schedule some warranty work with my dealer.

It sounds like you have a loose connection or a faulty switch.

I would try not to hit it, you'll probably do more damage. No sweat, just take it to the dealer, that's what the warranty is for, but I'm sure they won't cover any damage you might do by hitting it.

I posted the same problem a while back, and have the exact same symptoms. I'm waiting for my next service interval to get it fixed. If you don't mind, let me know what you find out from the dealer so I can explain it to mine.... they are not the greatest.

Thanks.

Same problem on my car. Barely ever repeatable for the dealer, and when it does happen in front of them they have no clue how to fix it. It works intermittently, which is fine in vegas, because it rains intermittently too. Not so much for the dust though...

Anybody else have this problem?
