Just wanted to let everyone know that I went ahead and e-mailed both Dave Coleman of Sport Compact Car Magazine and Shiv Pathak of Vishnu Performance to participate in this forum since there are a few discussions going on about the SCC article on the RX-8. Here is the e-mail I sent Dave and I sent something similar to Shiv:

Mr. Coleman,

I'm a long time subscriber to SCC and an RX-8 enthusiast with a pre-order on the RX-8. Needless to say that your article on the RX-8 about the power port issue has raised some concern about issues with the production RX-8 RENESIS engine, although you did mention that it should not be a problem for production vehicles. I was also curious as to why the dyno was not posted in the article, showing the "stuck" power ports results (although it is pretty easy to imagine what it looked like). The additional rotary information was a great read as well. In either case, I would like to invite you and any other SCC writers (and readers) to the www.rx8forum.com website to take part in the various ongoing discussions on your SCC article and the RX-8 in general. We would love to have some direct input from you and other industry professionals. I'm also looking forward to the future testing of a production RX-8 by SCC. Thanks for your articles and insights!


Hopefully we will get some expert indusrty input on this issue, not to mention some good overall exposure for the RX-8 forum!
