There's an rx-8 for appox 1.5 seconds in a 50-cent/g-unit video as well. It had a custom pearl orange paint job...

I'm glad to see the RX8 in HipHop; especially since popular culture is heavily influenced by it. I think Mazda is smart to do so--look at Escalades, 300Cs, and 745s.

Leave it to rap and pop to defame a nice car...what a shame..let's all put sh!tty, ugly chrome wheels on our 8's and thug around...listening to Brit Spears of course...i got's my skull cap..

The only 8 with chrome wheels is the custom one, hence its custom.....

I don't like the idea of our car being so popular...i liked it when a week or two would go by without me seeing another one in town..now i am lucky if i can make it a day!

Just go and buy a more expensive car, you'll feel just as special in the long run. Personally I don't really care if people think my car is unique or whatevers... I'm just glad that it's Rotary... and Rotary Owners are cool :) (Well, most of them anyhows)

I'm stoked to see it on tv, in diecast everywhere, magazines etc. I think it adds to the mystique, yesterday when I was leaving from one of my Hotwheels excursions at the local Toys r' us there were 2 little boys playing out in front of the store that froze in their tracks and just stared as I drove by, one of them even yelled "nice car dude". Bring it on, the more exposure, the more chance Mazda keeps a rotary in the line up, the easier it is to get parts, the cheaper it is to get parts etc. Just take a look at skateboarding for example, before it exploded (again) a complete board with crappy parts was over 150 bucks, just a deck was 60-70 bucks. Skateboard stores were few and far between, not to mention skate parks. now there are shops everywhere, parks everywhere etc. Now with all the "X games" etc. you can pick up a pretty decent setup for less than 100, decks as low as 20 bucks (blanks). I for one plan on owning this car a long time so the more hype it gets the better my chances are of finding stuff for it a few years down the road. It will always be unique no matter what video it gets featured in if for no other reason then its powerplant alone, not to mention all the other innovative qualities it posesses.

haha, irrespective i love the car. I don't care if every person in town owned one *although it would be hard to figure out which one as mine :)* but needless to say, i agree. I am glad it is a rotary, and that little factor alone will keep the majority of idiots, er..i mean piston lovers, away. :p
