I finally did it, I am paying MSRP and getting it this year, tit. grey six speed base. The problem is, when I went to order my car, Mazda is not accepting anymore orders till next month. This is contrary to what my allotment as a dealer is. The other thing is the vehicles that were ordered previously, had a ETA, now they say To be determined? Does anyone know if or why the RX8 wouldve stopped/slowed production? I have heared rummors of problems with the 5th and 6th ports getting gummed up and stuck, and info would help. I just hope nobody pulls out b/c of delays, I know I wont, it is all the more reason to get mine in now so I actually see my car this year. Hoping, waiting, salavating.

My guess is that they'll be in our hands, the paying public, in June.

What I really want to see on this forum is the absolute first dude in the U.S. to get theirs. If you are him/her, be sure to announce it!

i agree, wrong forum, but i am hurting thinkng it is going to be longer, i need to be optiomistic but Mazda rarely releases things on time, ie Mazdaspeed. I am in San Diego which is near our port in ventura ca, so I will get one within the first 1-2 days after the port releases them.

I just found out that mine, which I *thought* was in the 2nd allocation, is actually in the first!!! I'm going to visit my dealer today to make sure everything is straight. I voted for June, but I'm still hoping for the end of May.
