HOW? The REV-IT-UP events in these cities will include 80 spots on the VIP Day (Friday prior to the weekend). It is special invitation ONLY! You need to present AN INVITATION and confirmation of RX8 Preorder in order to drive the vehicle during this VIP Event! YOU MUST CONTACT YOUR SELLING DEALER. THE MANAGER OF THE STORE WILL KNOW ABOUT THE EVENT AND CAN PUT YOU ON THE INVITATION LIST. FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED...

IMPORTANT: The dealer's will know by the 28th of March that this opportunity exists. They will be able to put you on the list the first week of April. This list will trigger an invitation that will be sent from Mazda.

BONUS: Those with invites from Friday will also get to participate in ALL the Rev-It-Up Event clinics at no charge! They will even have lunch in the MazdaSpeed Cafe courtesy of the local Mazda Dealers!

If the spots are not filled by Preorder Customers, the dealers will be able to fill spots with customers who are seriously considering a purchase...i.e. those who have been into the dealer a couple times expressing interest.

The San Fran event is at the end of the month, and I've already gotten it set up for the all-day event through my dealer. That would be amazing if I get to not only see but drive an RX-8.

I'm curious, though... our Miata club has also been invited along on the Fridays before these two weekends. Am I correct in assuming that they won't be driving the -8?

Are you sure that they are bringing a RX-8 to these Rev-It-Up events??? I don't remember seeing anything about that on the web site where I went to register for this. Looked like they would have Mazda 6's, Miata's, and Protege's.

I dunno.....maybe I didn't read close enough.

I told the guys at Jeff Haas Mazda (Houston) about this and put myself on the 'pre-list'. Anyone who ordered from them should probably speak to Garret or Justin (sales manager) if you want to get on the list next Friday.

If there is an rubber left on the tires after I'm done it will be a miracle.
