That's what this young man and woman have done. Why must you feel the need to go out of your way to possibly hurt her feelings? Does it somehow make you feel better about yourself, or make your life better in any way whatsoever?

If you do not like the photo, why not just ignore it and move on. You do not NEED to comment. What you've done here is even worse, because now you've thumbnailed the image, uploaded it for a SECOND time and taken up more server space, and made it visible for all to see even if they don't click on the link.

As far as my post. Yes, I feel better for making a valid point, and stating my opinion and possibly helping another forum member at the same time.

1) nobody gives a damn about the car. The focus of all the pictures were clearly the wife. Anyone with even a minor understanding of art and photography will see that. The casual viewer will subconsciously be drawn to the hot chick next to the car.

2) The picture -8- was referring to was DEFINITELY not flattering, it was more enticing than anything else. It borders on softcore porn to be honest. Take off her clothes and you've got a picture that belongs on an 18+ site. Look around you next time you go out in public places where women sit down. You will NEVER see a woman opening her legs at that angle. That's a fact.

3) If i had the chance, i'd ask the guy to lend me his wife for a day so i can take some proper pictures of her and then the car or whatever. Make them all look artistically interesting. I've done wedding photography, i'm sure this would be a piece of cake too. I wouldn't charge too much per hour for my l33t photography skillzz either.

You know, I think those photos are excellent for non-professional and non-retouched shots. Most professional photos and models get extensive touch-ups before the photos are published. He just did these with his home camera, and posted the ones he liked. She's very pretty, and the car's great, too! Nice job!

I think for an amature photographer he did a good job. There is no reason to insult him or his wife, she is a very pretty woman and there is nothing wrong with the poses or the pictures. Have you picked up a car magazine lately? You won't see anything worse in there and I think she could hold her own with any of those airbrushed models in the car magazines. I also think they have a lot of guts to post it on here for everyone, I see them taking the good with the bad and being good sports about it.

When I let Josh take these pictures, I didnt know that they would be on the internet, I thought they would just be fun to do for him since he had been bugging me to take some pictures with his car. Nice car, nice shots that are different from the run of the mill "here's my car" stuff that's easiest for most people to put up.. why don't we all just keep our subconscious out of it? As a former working professional photog, my only suggestion would be to let/encourage the model to vary her expression. Sultry/pouty is okay, but not all the time.

I think we need to back off a bit, but still shake our heads and feel sorry for people like this. Pretty women are a dime a dozen, but not all husbands/boyfriends will put their lady up like a poster ad. Not that there's anything wrong with it. We also need to cut the desparate boys some slack because we forget that most people on here are young, single, and do not have an rx8 or a girlfriend, and most are probably virgins. Hell, this site started WAYYYY before the rx8 even came out, so 80% of this site consists of non owner young-ins anyway. Thanks for the post though. From what I have read, it makes me take a step back, and be glad I don't have a pathetic life. I have a pretty lady, pretty car, great job, and I don't need to look at someone's wife on the internet to get my jollies. For you guys who do, I can only hope you get laid soon. Good luck. :)

Elara, I didn't feel that my post was in any way as rude as you make it out to be. I can't believe as a woman yourself that you in some way can't take offense to that shot. If you read my post again, you would see that I was only referring to the ONE shot in particular, and all i said that is that it wasn't flattering....I didn't say something derogatory.

I had no problem with the other photos, as they were a nice change to usual "here are pics of my car", and honestly the first few shots were tasteful and cool. But as the photos went on, less and less clothing appeared on the girl, and that one shot in question is a borderline porn star pose...and as some mods have stated here in the past, this is a "family" site, and pictures like that are uncalled for.

And most of all, I can't believe I get a ban threat because of this. Unbelievable. :eek:

Why does everyone have to make such a big deal of these threads. If you do not like what you saw in one, why go back to any more other than the fact that you like to start trouble. If you are against pornography would you run out to the store to buy the latest Playboy so that you can sit at home and complain about the objectification of women? While assisting our neighbor with an installation of rotary shaped tire stem valves (click here) (http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=28064), she inadvertantly dropped one and attempted to reach under the car for said valve.

As you can see in the photo, due to the low profile of the eight and ummmm, other "factors" she came close to becoming road kill as the neighbor prepared to depart.

She's such a silly, stubborn girl.

After doing further "research" for rx8club.com I found this picture, not the same one that the author was referring to but the same model. If I remember the story correctly, she was given the car as a prize by Hefner at the Playboy Mansion.
