current estimates from edmund.com saying the mpg for the rx-8 is 18-19 city / 23-24 hwy. How's that more fuel efficient, isn't that the same stats as the rx-7?

just FYI (in case you didn't bother checking MUSA's site), the 'official' Mazda EPA estimate is 20 city/30 hwy

If that's true, that will be amazing. My Mazda MX-3 (4-banger)get's 30mpg currently, and if I can replace it with a vechicle that get close to that I'll be a happy camper.
