i know on other cars you can change the clutch release point, is this possible on the RX8?

I personally don't know, but there is a post on this forum with a link to the full shop manual (2500+ pages). You might be able to find the answer to your question in that manual.

yes, you can.
get the technician's manual. It explains how to do it properly.

There is also a post exactly about that subject. It warns you to be careful and make sure you're not riding the clutch even when the pedals fully out.

Yes, the clutch pedal height is adjustable. Under the dash is a rod which extends from the pedal ass'y to the clutch cylinder. On this rod is a 12mm nut and a 10mm nut. One is to adjust the height and the other is to lock the adjustment in place. Put your seat all the way back, stuff yourself under the dash and have fun playing with the adjustment. I did this myself and it's a real hassle climbing under the dash.

Are you able to meet all the specified clutch pedal measurements and limits in the Workshop Manual such as pedal stroke, pedal play, and clutch disengagement stroke when you're changing the pedal height?
