Yes, his has a sticker reminding you not to and he isn't blind. I think he thought he could control it and just let a little air out ??

Is he gonna try and sue Acura now - LOL. People that are either too lazy to read, or just choose to ignore what they read, should not be allowed to drive a car.

if he knows enough about cars to have an rsx that would ever overheat, he should know better than to even touch that radiator cap

He does know better. Probably too much and got some extra confidence and thought he could open it a little them close it. I guess the cap didn't seat itself properly after he took it off a little and it blew

admins, please either force a warning on the title of the thread or remove the pictures. I really would prefer better notification before I subject myself to viewing something like that..

Sorry your friend got hurt and thanks for the graphic reminder. I'm not sure what all the whining is about - the pictures are not that graphic - damn what do these people do when they're watching TV and the war is being covered or there's a violent movie on?

What was he trying to do that made him take the cap off?

I've taken them off other cars while the car was warm (not hot) - knowing that I might have to jump back fast. Best to use a rag on top of the cap when doing this.

No shit Sherlock . . . Tell your friend it is not a good idea to bob for french fries either, and keep his penis out of the pencil sharpner, and not to play on the freeway, and let's see . . . .

Nature has a funny way of reminding us of our past stupidities.

He prolly should have read the yellow warning label right on or near the cap!

That reminds me of the time my RX-7's filler neck cracked and exploded in my face while I was looking under the hood. It didn't leave me with any major burns or scars, but I must say engine coolant is kinda tasty...
