Very nice. It's got all the small details, even the tach is accurate.

i downloaded that game recently but after a while got bored and deleted it. I had the red, silver, and yellow rx8.

this looks like it has some potential!! I'm looking forward to playing it tonight after work, and some day when i have the time, maybe i can model a funny/stupid looking car :D

Yea, this is different version of the car mate. This one has shaders which makes car look more realistic. Here's a link from my host for the latest RX8 version. Now you will need to install racer 6.1 beta to run this car properly.

Install all of those in order I listed them here.

Unzip that and place it into directory that racer is installed. Overwrite all files.

Then download, unzip, and place all files into racer directory from this zip file.

Use the din14.zip to get the new font (put din14* in data/fonts) and an image (standings.tga should go into data/images).

has anyone else played this game and think it sucks? the controls are horrendous and gets real boring after 1 lap. ugh.

Yea, controls are a bit off mainly because racer is a real car simulation. So to simulate real car and get the feeling, you need a steering wheel. It's like saying, could you drive a real car with keyboard? lol.
