Streaming Video

Some additional footage from Laguna Seca track, mixed in with footage from the Best Motoring video. Oh, mute the music.

Was most that footage from the Best Motoring Magazine footage? I know I've seen the shot with the deer before. I wonder if Mazda got the footage from BM, or the other way around...

by the way, does anybody know if the low-profile trunklid spoilers are on the us-spec cars? perhaps w/ the grand touring pack? but it's not listed and none of the us publicity pix shows them, but i think they look great. i'm assuming the headlamp washer isn't gonna make it here

Looks like just about all of the clips were taken from the Best Motoring video mixed in with that lame Mazda Japan song.

All of the footage is from the Best Motoring March 2003 video (mostly from the "California Drive" segment, a little of "Intro" and "Laguna Seca"). But they replaced Motoharu Kurosawa's commentary that "My Wish" song. Cheesy anthem rock, or that "Zoom-zoom" jingle, not sure which is worse.

If they had shown the RX-8 stopping "just in time" it would have looked like a set-up. Who knows what they were thinking but the chance of hitting a deer makes one only think about the deer and not the car. Bad idea IMHO.

Yeah, but the Japanese still love anthem rock... (at least the marketing guys there still do) Hopefully, MNAO will come up with some better music for the US commercials.

Who was thinking about the deer???? The french crashed a concorde and most people here were more worried about the concorde than the people on it!..
