Hi Everyone,
Did anyone get the special RX-8 cd from Mazda yet? I'm dying to find out what's on it.
I put my name in at their website and hopefully I'll get my copy soon.
Let me know when you have a minute. Thanks

...Though I was a little cautious about committing to them sending me further advertisements. Part of the agreement for the free CD was that they could solicit you via email henceforth. I wonder who else the'll be selling our information to as well.
I signed up anyway since I'm so starved for new information on the RX-8.
:p
This should be right from the horses mouth anyway.

Well, I just got the CD today. I wont say whats on it, just b/c I'd hate to spoil it for others. Not that it's a movie or anything, but I figure the anticipation is better than the real thing. Anyway, just a heads up that it'll be in everyones mail boxes soon.

Is this the same rotor-shaped CD that they were giving out at the auto shows?
If so.....I was kinda lame IMO.

I found the navigation to be pretty nifty, as well as the physical attributes of the disc. That's enough for me to consider it $8 well spent on Ebay. Neat little keepsake.

Got mine in the mail yesterday too. B-Nez is right- the navigation is pretty cool.
Iit's worth it for that lovely whine it makes in the intro- what a great sound!

Anyone concidered putting the ISO up on FTP or the P2P networks...
I doubt Mazda would mind us distributing their advertising for them.

Okay, I've got an ISO, but it's 44.4MB. Any good ideas on where I can post it? My webspace only allows a 5MB max size per file upload.

OK,
You can upload it to "ftp.fsck.co.uk" using the username "rx8" and the password "mazda" (you will need to use the incoming directory).
I will probably move it to a web server once I have it as I'd like to add the comment that I am allowing it to be downloaded on the assumption that Mazda would not be concearned about me distributing their advertising to interested parties... and provide an email address to contact if this is NOT the case.
I definitely don't have unlimited bandwidth, so if more than a few tens of people want it... I'll have to ask others to mirror it...
Please email me at rx8@fsck.co.uk if there are any problems.

I found it to be a little disappointing. There was no new info regarding final specs of the weight, interior space, luggage space
It is a nice little keepsake. The navigation to each segment was cool, and the heritage segment was also nice to have. But the rest of it contained no new info.
I know we are still 8 months or more from launch, but I would like to see some new info, pics, options list, and PRICING.
