European climate control part number?

Does anyone have the part number for the climate control head unit for the european rx-8's? I'd love to import one and install it in my 8 here in the US as the AC is never quite right. it's always either too cold or not cold enough.

I haven't seen this part number posted anywhere and searching didnt help so if anyone knows, let me know.

Thanks,
Ajax

Unfortunately, I don't know the part number, but I can about guarantee you that you'll need a LOT more than just the head unit to install the climate control.

A buddy of mine and I attempted to install the digital climate control from Japan in his 240sx. The climate control had a TON more inputs and sensors - light sensor, interior temp sensor, exterior temp sensor, you name it.

Not saying it can't be done, but it will likely be VERY tricky and require some extra parts that will also be hard to find and pricey.

Probably would need a European shop manual and parts reference to start with. Shop manual to find out how the system works, then a parts reference to get the parts numbers from.

Is there a European sub-forum here? Might be worth posting to see if you can find someone in Europe to help out.

Go for the Canadian parts. Last I heard, they had auto climate control - I'm sure you can get help from someone like Canzoomer with the part #s.

My friend's got a fairly complete front clip with a ton of goodies for his 240SX. We thought about installing the auto climate control, but would need some wiring diagrams and probably a little bit of fabrication.

Adapting UK climate control may be much more difficult than it looks. But I'm sure if you had the service manual for both countries, and you fake the sun sensor voltage among others, it might simplify the process a bit.

Yea, guess why I'm reading this thread... I suppose my "discovery" and "idea" aren't that great after all.
