In posts from other RX-8 owners around the world, I have seen folks list options that simply aren't available in the United States. I'm curious as to what options exist for the car elsewhere.

For example, in the United States...
. 4-speed automatic/6 speed manual - no 5 speed
. TPMS (Tire Pressure Management System) standard
. Navigation System is an option
. Spare tire is an option
. 3 Base Trim Levels offered for 4-port and 6-port engines
. 17" wheels for 4-port, 18" wheels for 6-port
. Xenon headlights available as option
. Fog lights "suck"

On non-US RX-8s, we find...
. 5-speed manual gearboxes for 4-port engine
. Headlight washer jets
. Climate Control System
. MP3 and MiniDisc player are factory options
. Towing package available as an option

I thought it might be fun to compile a list of possible options and create a little country/feature matrix for our "worldly" RX-8.

Are there other interesting options offered with the RX-8 in your country?

 

The MD & MP3 players are both available here from any dealer.

I've got the MD deck & I've seen a bunch of posts about people with the MP3 deck... the headlight washers & climate control on the other hand...

 

Don't forget those cute little lights under the JDM mirrors.....and the rear red foglight/rotor.....

Rear fog light you can buy and fit them in perfectly... we have side mirror light downunder.

I want Sat Nav in my car. Although we have a big book called Melway in Melbourne. I prob look up map 2 times a year - :D

I want the leather centre console component though... leather handbrake and covers.
