View Full Version : Need help finding out what wheels are on this 8 gcar76 06-17-2004, 05:30 PM I was reading this other thread and came accross this image, does anybody know the name of these wheels, who makes them and where i can find them? robertdot 06-17-2004, 05:48 PM There is a thread about this already. Auto Bahn Strasse or something like that is the name of the thread. See if they said it there / ask Japan8. gcar76 06-17-2004, 05:58 PM Na, I’ve looked and ask there to, that’s why I decided to create a new thread. Maybe more people would look at this one and help me find an answer, but thaks for trying to help out. Ole Spiff 06-18-2004, 02:48 AM Those look very close to R1 Racing's F3 Forged RS-5 http://www.emwheels.com/wheels.asp?id=2 or try OZ racing's Canyon II PL http://www.ozracing.com/eng/car/index.php?fam=2&wheel=24# Which is very similar if you don't want to spend the money for R1's forged rims. Ole Spiff 06-18-2004, 02:53 AM My bad; I didn't realize until I did a price check, that the Canyon II PL is as much as the R1 Forged rims. Sorry... gcar76 06-18-2004, 12:57 PM yeah they look like them, thank you. I will keep looking. Jump120MPH 06-28-2004, 07:00 PM did you find them yet? Those are some sweet wheels. gcar76 06-28-2004, 07:14 PM Na not yet, Im still on the hunt for them. Im trying to track down the wheels and the body klit. Japan8 is gona look into it some more for us. mysql101 06-28-2004, 07:25 PM those rims are sick. mikeb 06-28-2004, 08:17 PM those rims are so nice I guess 800.00 or so each waijai 06-30-2004, 01:49 AM Those look like Maya RT5's to me. http://g35driver.com/forums/attatchments/240201-skylinegee_1.jpg waijai 06-30-2004, 01:54 AM Rev High online sells them on the G35 forums. Here's the contact info: Mike Lee 1-321-945-3333 E-mail:sales@RevHighOnline.com Website:www.RevHighOnline.com AOL im:RevHighSales gcar76 06-30-2004, 11:42 AM Right on, those are the closes ones I've seen so far, Thanks for the info. gcar76 06-30-2004, 12:03 PM Here is a better look at them. They are called "MAIDO RT5" wheels, here is a link to there site http://www.maidowheels.com/wheels.asp Very similar, but not exactly the same. Peakster 06-30-2004, 01:31 PM Forget about the wheels...how did they put on those "eyebrows?" The car looks mean! gcar76 06-30-2004, 02:53 PM Those eyebrows are from a company in Japan by the name of AU-TO BAHN SPORTS, you can find more info about them on these threads: http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=32654 or http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=30415 But a quick an easy way to make them is by using vinyl. mikeb 06-30-2004, 04:29 PM I have evo-r.net eyelids and they are real aggressive \\Konig\\ 06-30-2004, 05:32 PM what bumper is that in the front? I think it looks as good as the ms kit! reminds me of a ferrari though... Gamera 07-01-2004, 12:13 AM Originally posted by \\Konig\\ what bumper is that in the front? I think it looks as good as the ms kit! reminds me of a ferrari though... I was thinking the same thing, kinda like a 360. I never thought a sharp edge up front would look good, but I just checked out EastMoon's links; damn, I really like this kit. The quad pipes and scoop on the side skirt make it look even more Ferrari-esque. AU-TO Bahn Sports Type S (http://jp.y42.briefcase.yahoo.co.jp/bc/eastmoon2004/vwp?.dir=/data_040629&.dnm=p15.jpg&.src=bc&.view=t&.hires=t) Notice that shot where you can see a seam where the eyelids meet the fender, so it isn't one-piece as the large picture seems to imply. waijai 07-01-2004, 12:46 AM I'm digging those mirrors too! Ole Spiff 07-01-2004, 02:22 AM I think I found them; they're by Maya: http://www.rdmwheels.com/maya/rt5.htm Expensive too... Japan8 07-01-2004, 09:16 AM Wrong wrong and wrong. Nice try... There's something that can be said for calling the guys who have them on their car. :D Check the bodykit thread again. Ole Spiff 07-01-2004, 05:30 PM Ever consider that River-Side may make their rims for other companies like so many do? Did you check the link I posted? The Maya rims are identical to the TrafficStar RTS rims; probably made by River-Side and rebranded. gcar76 07-02-2004, 12:04 PM True, True but it looks like the Maya wheels spokes are not as wide as the ones on the AU-TO BAHN Sports ride. Japan8 called them and found out they are called "Traffic Star" made by Riverside. gcar76 07-02-2004, 12:11 PM Found THEM!!! here is a link to there site, yeah baby!!!! I'm getting those. http://www.river-side.co.jp/ They are called TRAFFICSTAR RTS gcar76 07-02-2004, 12:19 PM Here is a pic gcar76 07-02-2004, 12:24 PM Ole Spiff, your right they look exactly the same. gcar76 07-02-2004, 12:45 PM Japan 8 if you can ask AU-TO BAHN SPORTS for the exact sizes on those rims. Thanks waijai 07-02-2004, 01:00 PM oOOoh it says gold in that pic...would love to see that rim in gold gcar76 07-02-2004, 01:11 PM I LOVE GOOOOOOLD!!!!! mikeb 07-02-2004, 02:53 PM so how much do they cost for 19 inch waijai 07-02-2004, 03:26 PM Did you photoshop that gold? gcar76 07-02-2004, 05:07 PM waijai, it was done in Photoshop. mikeb, well I check Maya's Wheels and the price with tires is about $3800, and they have to be custom made. So it will take like a month 1/2 before you get them. I’m waiting to hear back from Japan8 hopefully they are cheaper if I get them from Japan mikeb 07-02-2004, 08:32 PM 3800.00 WOW there are sweet as hell and you already know how sweet they look on a 8 from the picture RX8GUY73 07-13-2004, 08:53 PM Yeah, they are SICK - ASS wheels, and they are called RiverSide TrafficStar RTS. I had to find out myself, even though I probably could never afford to put them on my 8! Japan8 07-14-2004, 02:26 AM I called Riverside yesterday and the guy I talked to didn't know anything. They took down my number and said that the person in charge of this stuff.... |
