I have to say that I was thoroughly dissappointed with the RX-8 at the MMS. It was nevertheless exciting the see the machine with my own eyes for the first time, but it left a lot to be desired. It was red with the leather package and was spinning around on a very squeaky turntable. The passanger side doors were open, which meant that the viewer couldn't see the instrument cluster or center console.

Unlike the 1 RX-8, the 3 Nissan 350z's were far more accessable. They had the track model, and the touring model (which you could sit in) and a 350 with a body kit on a turntable.

Plain and simple, the RX-8 just didn't turn enough heads. Fair enough with the Enzo, the Ford Falcon GT-P and two Murcielago's, bu tthe majority of the cars were your everday runabouts.

Oh and for those who are interested, the big grill on the front of the RX-8 is backed by plastic.

I disagree, I don't know about other people but the RX-8 caught my attention at the local auto show. It's got a distinctive suicide door design (better looking than the Saturn version IMO), very aggressive front end (even though I liked the concept grill better) and a fluid hatch style design in the back. The fenders are also bulge out like a mean lepard. Like most Mazda cars, the aerodynamic and organic design really appeals to me.

What does the squeaky turntable have to do with the car. I will be happy just to see it. The reason you got to sit in the 350Z is that it is allready out. The RX-8 still has'nt hit the shores. :)

The RX-8 was a big hit at the Houston Auto show in Febuary.
