I am thinking about buying the rear strut tower bar, and was wondering if anyone had pics of it installed. I would buy the front one also, but I want to keep my engine cover on.

Someone actually came out with a rear STB? Is there really a need?

I have a rear strut bar and you can tell a difference (in conjunction with the added front strut bar) I have a competitors version though- but installation was easy enough

Is this the Mazdaspeed one you're talking about?

If so, pics are here: http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=24258

Mine didn't fit - at least the Mazdaspeed one.

Trussville is a smallish town outside of Birmingham, Alabama (where I currently happen to live). In Trussville lies Trussville Mazda, a dealership that sells Mazda parts for a decent price and has an online store @ http://trussvillemazda.com. It appears that the poster wanted to save 5 keystrokes, and is talking about the dealership not the town.

If you are interested in Trussville Mazda, check out the vendors forum.

I indeed am extremely lazy and wanted to save the effort of the 5 key strokes of tryping "Mazda"

Yes, I had the car on a lift during the install.

The MS front strut bar is too wide for the engine cover. Scroll down in my link above, I have a couple of pictures with the cover on top of the bar...

ohhhhhhh I thought you were speaking of the rear bar! sorry! yes my front one doesn't fit either, looks like if I just used a dremel or some other type of rotary tool, I could trim just a little off of each side opening and it would fit- the only problem is I had already painted the cover and would be cutting through paint, and am not sure how that would turn out>?
