what are some games you guys play at parties to get drunk?

Circle of Death

you all sit in a circle and lay the cards face down on the floor/table...each person takes turns picking up a card in a clockwise fashion...each card is appointed a value...the values are as follows:

give a chug - give someone a chug

5 sec. chug (usually the 5's in the deck)- you must take a 5 sec. chug

10 sec. chug (usually the 10's in the deck) - you must take a 10 sec. chug

Full chug (usually the Kings) - sometimes we don't use this one since not all people can take a full 12 oz. of beer

bathroom break (usually the Jacks)- you cannot go to the bathroom unless you have one of these

free pass (the Ace) - you can take a bathroom break, use it as a pass when you don't want to drink, or give it to someone

beer bitch (usually the Queen) - this person is in charge of getting any person within the circle a beer whenever they want one...they keep this position until this card is picked again

categories - the person that picked this card names a category (for instance - cigarette brands) then the next person starts with a item from that category (for instance - Marlboro)...each person has 3 seconds, if they can't come up with one they take a 10 second chug

rhymes - the guy that picked the card starts with a word, then the next guy in the circle must say a word that rhymes with that word...each person has 3 seconds, if they can't come up with one they take a 10 second chug

The Waterfall (usually the Jokers) - this one sucks if you pick it...basically everyone starts drinking at the same time...the guy to your right (person A) leads and can stop at anytime...the person to his right (person B) cannot stop until Person A stops and it goes around the circle...no one person can stop drinking until the person to his right has stopped...you (the Waterfall victim) cannot stop until the very last person has stopped...if this is a big circle you're screwed...you must always keep 2 reserve beers on hand in case it goes that far

blah..the best drinking game ever is pass out..it's a board game..it's awsome...not that i drink..

i take a shot everytime i see a "convince me to buy the rx8", "bad mpg", or "what flash is my car?" thread. i'm pretty much blitzed 24/7

I always like to play dimes it just like quarters but you have too bounce a dime in a shot glass full if liquor.if your a wimp you can play with beer.i remember one night at a college party thia girl went through a 1/2 gal before she missed.

and why is that? is life less pointless when you have to drink because you're an alcoholic and it becomes a habit outside of social events?

You must take a drink (Jack Daniels is my fav) every time you capture an opponents piece.

If you are in a real hurry, you can play checkers instead (Captures are more frequent):) :D

Me and my buddy Tom used to make a drinking game out of watching a baseball game. Each guy picks a team. If one of the players on your team spits or grabs his crotch, you've got to drink. If one of the umpires spits or grabs his crotch, you BOTH have to drink. We used to add in funny little variations like "if one of your guys is batting and swings so hard that he loses his balance and falls on his ass, you have to slam your whole beer." It was pretty funny, especially when they would show a shot of the dugout and 6 or 7 guys would spit at the same time.

lol..chill out dawg. I used to do that drinking game too back in the day and as i read this thread i started reminiscing about those highschool / freshman University days..... and those were some pretty silly times lol.....fun... but silly.

While I never needed encouragement, the popular games in college were:

1. Sink the Bismark - put a glass in a pitcher of beer and take turns adding more beer to the glass. The person that sinks the glass has to drink it.

2. Quarters/Dimes/Dice...already discussed in the forum

3. TV show based games - For example, BOB for Bob Newhart - every time Bob is said on the screen everyone drinks. Variations are to pick a charater and drink when their name is mentioned.

4. Chugging races - self explanitory...

Have fun, and don't drive after playing.

i'm 24... too old. but i'll point out that i usually date older women.

back in the day we would pre-party either before heading to hockey games or the bars with a couple games..

pretty much it was a##hole , three man or beruit.

man i remember one night I was stuck being the a%%hole all night long.. I don't remember too much from that night.. ughh...

i forgot what the game was called but it got me puking after playing it...basically a dealer deals out a card...you have to guess if the next card is going to be higher, lower, red, or black...if you guess higher/lower/red/black and it's wrong you take a shot...if you guess anything and it comes out to the same digit or face card, you take double the shots...i had a bad game night and i guessed wrong on just about the entire deck

Three man??? Holy cow, I thought my friends invented that game -- I didn't know other people played it. Did your version of it involve having someone wear an empty 12-pack carton on their head?

I picked this up for 5 bucks at a local department store going out of business sale. I'll probably NEVER use it, but I figured "what the hell, it's only 5 bucks.." lol

dude that was our official three man helmet! haha I wore that helmet way too many times..


oh yeah forgot we also played the most dangerous game called stump. flinging hammers around drunk is not anywhere near safe.. how did I survive with all my limbs in place is beyond me..

A topic that I know a lot about (from my college days).

Favorite Game: Quarters, (not sure if this is normal, but we added the ability to create new rules if you made 8 shots in a row, made for interesting new rules on the fly).

Others:
Trivial pursuit for shots: No board, just the question cards. If the guy got the answer right, then the guy asking drank, otherwise the you drank when you got it wrong. (This was a nice portable anytime drinking game).

Simple Game: Liars dice

Golf Handicapping: This was good to help equalize golf skill levels (worked best with 4 players). Basically, the winner of each hole had to chug a beer. This helped to lower the best players skill level, but there was still incentive to win overall because we had money on the overall round. You could add rules like Lost Ball= Chug, Out of Bounds = Chug, Request a Mulligan = Chug.


Ahh the good old days....

Game I played quite a bit in high school (don't drink now) was called Ponderosa or chandeliers, depending on who played.
Basically like quarters except, you put a big 32oz in the center, with 12 oz around the large glass (like a chandelier) for every person playing, you bounce the quarter, if it lands in your glass you get to pick a person to drink, if it lands in someone else's glass, they have to drink, if it goes in the large center glass everyone has to chug, last person with their glass down drinks the one in the middle.

ok..you asked... the rules of Stump.. the best I can remember.. with obvious home field rule changes..

ok item one: get a big tree stump. Next get a bunch of nails.. none of those sissy little 1 inch nails we are talking heavy duty 4 inchers. Next get a bunch of hammers..


ok now down to the nitty gritty...

Setup:
ok every person has a hammer and a nail. Start your nail into the stump so its in there pretty good( so it won't come flying out when you miss)

Objective:
The object is to hit other peoples nails in without having yours hit in.. yours get hit in you chug..

How the game is started:

All circle around the stump with your hammer on your nail to ID "your" nail. on the count of three the first person to take their hammer and tap the outer edge of the stump goes first... (or you can start with the previous winner) Then the order is clockwise around the stump.

The act of hammering..

Ok you need to hit someone else's nail to the stump and try to get them "out" but not get yours hit in.

So to hammer: this needs to be done in a very smooth motion. you toss the hammer into the air have it rotate once. Catch the hammer and smoothly come crashing down onto your nail of choice. The reason it needs to be smooth is to prevent people from catching the hammer then cocking the it back and taking time to aim for a really clean hit. to its pretty much toss-(hammer rotates)-catch-hit.

Proceed around the table until someone is the last man(or woman ) standing.

How to tell when you are out:

we used a coin. if the coin could not slide between the head of the nail and the stump then you were out. Even if your nail was bent in the middle and the head is buried into the stump.. (made for some interesting times when you could bend someone's nail over another nail and get 2 people out at the same time)

The drinking rules:

Hit your own nail in: double the shame.. your are doing a shot ontop of your chugging duty. and its a social for the unlucky bastard.
Bend a nail (to prevent some of the things I mentioned above) take a drink.
Have your nail hit in: chug your beer.
you "cock" your hammer: thats a drink
you miss: we all do.. so nothing

Some home ground rules
Hit a nail but don't drive it all the way in: Alice is your new nickname
Call your shot and miss: thats defintely a drink!
first one out digs the nails out for the next game.

So in the end it comes out to be drunks tossing hammers hitting nails.. defintely fun when you buddy forgets to catch it and the hammer falls to the ground.. oh so many good times..

The drinking game we play is "You want a shot?" and whoever spends under $100 that night is the winner..

Usually, there are no winners. 3 of us were 1/2 of all the sales of the bar one night.. and it was NOT a slow night.

ohh reminds me of credit card roulette..

at the end of the night when you and all your buddies are all liqoured up you each throw a credit card into the hat. the bartender/waitress draws them out one at a time. last one left pays the tab... haha great fun! except when you have to pay a freaking huge tab...

yea, my friends play this game all the time...it's called Don't Tell X We're Using His Tab...they played this on me once and i got stuck with a $250 tab in only 1 and half hours of clubbing...

I dunno if its a game but Power Hour was awesome. I actually have a power hour cd. It has 60 tracks one minute each. Best to put lotsa old skool tracks with couple new songs.

Drunken CounterStrike. Those random tuesday night u just wanted an excuse to drink. We usta all connect and play counterStrike everytime u die u drink. The team that looses has to day 2 shots or 1/2 a beer. watch ur accuracy improve as you drink Often we wud do this with Worms World Power instead.

3 Drinks: Hi or Lower then the first card

5 Drinks: Inside or outside the first 2 cards

7 Drinks: Guess the suit
1 Drink = 1 Second
if u guess correctly u make someelse drink the # of seconds if not u drink it
Round 5
2 lay out 2 rows of 5 cards each face down
Row 1 is give
Row 2 is take
as u go down the rows the number of seconds for the drink incrueases by 2
so 1,3,5,7,9
if a card is fliped over and u have it u have to give or take depending ont he row and the card spot.

WAIT how could i forget Beer Pong

oh and i wanted to mention i always hated those tongue twister games like duck fuzzy and what ever.. i was always horrible at those.

Landmine... ugh I hate that one...

It involves pouring however much beer into a glass spinning a quarter and picking it up cleanly before it stops or falls. Sounds easy right, well it until you get landmines all over the table (when you empty a beer you can smash another persons spin and the can stays in place on the table) and you're hammered.

The other is the century club, which involves no skill or fun other than getting completely obliterated.
