Just got my 8 this weekend. I found my tire pressure gauge and decided to check the pressure. I open the driver side door to check the recommended pressure. It was blank. The decal is there. But the info regarding the correct tire pressure is not filled in.

EDIT--from elsewhere on this site, I found out that the correct pressure is 32psi. But has anyone else had a blank tire pressure decal?

Yup, mine's blank too.

I guess it was too expensive for mazda to use actual ink to fill out the labels.

32 psi for the 18" wheels / Potenza tires. 34 psi for the 17" wheels (on the base AT model). Same for the front and rear.

FWIW - my sticker isn't blank... it shows 32 psi ...

There is another sticker is on the door edge (not jam) that lists tire pressure.

Mine has two stickers one on the door frame and one on the door that has the pressure on it. see page 8-26 in the manual

After trying different pressures, I have decided that 32 psi works for comfortable daily driving and 40 psi for firmer driving.

Mine's labelled at 32 psi front and back. Altho on tire sidewall, shows a much higher max pressure limit. Would a higher tire pressure be detrimental to other components of the car, especially suspension, electronics? And is there an advantage to overpressurizing above the recommended 32 psi?
The car weighs only 3000 lbs or so, wouldn't overpressurizing cause uneven treadwear?

MTLbroker, Yes overpressurizing can cause uneven treadwear and not be safe. If you do put to much air the Tire/Air sensor should light up.

Yup, it's on the door. Boy do I feel stupid about the Mazda being cheap crack. They actually gave 2 labels, that's why the car costs a much as it does!

LOL....the decal-thing fooled me too. Whe delivered to me it had 45PSI in each tire...what a ride home that was!

N-E-ways, took me 2 days to figure out the right pressures (it was New Year's weekend and everything was closed).

Yeah, it got me too.......then i actually rtfm.....TADA!!!! there it was.......just as it stated......
