That was one funny ass story. I always questioned why they make sports cars with automatics, but now I know why.:)

This is where "heel and toe" come in real handy! The hand brake method will work too but not as fancy...;)

Even us knowledgeable, stick driving South Floridians without so much as a mole hill for 200-300miles know this!....:D

Then again we do have some steep driveways and parking garages here... ;)

Maybe the Z is so heavy and has no torque in reverse so he couldn't make it up the hill ;) :D :p

heh, I have a 8.5lb flywheel and no powersteering on my "torqueless" rotary, and I have no problems parking in SF.. (well, besides finding parking ) :(

Well I have always been terrible at parallel parking. Especially that my car is a manual with no power steering. And now that I put a....um....can't remember what it is called.....oh yeah strut tower bar in the front steering has gotten a whole lot stiffer. Anyways I always go to my friends pad in Westwoodm CA. Otherwise known as UCLA. And parking is sure is hard to find. But trying to parallel park on a incline\decline sucks even more. I always end up bumping into cars behind me. hehehe :p . But from what I saw from the picture that guy had a whole 2 feet (I think) to manuever around with. I had a whole lot less space then that. LOL what a douchebag.:p :p :p

That was great!!! Would have loved to laugh at that in person.

San Fran is not the city you want to be living in if you don't know how to drive a stick. Those hills are STEEP!!

I'll bet the clutch replacement rate at the transmission shops in San Fran are higher than anywhere else in the country.

Even if you know how to drive a stick well.....it's got to wear faster driving on those fucked up streets all the time.

On the Z, to get into reverse you have to push down on the stick and then put it into gear. I suspect this guy didn't know this. Thus, the hilarious hijinks. :D

Sucks to be him.
