Went over to Tofino for 2 days with my friend and her sister last thursday and on the ferry coming back, I took a look at my receipt for my ferry ticket and it listed an undersize vehicle and two people (I had 2 passengers and me so 3 in total)! I guess the 8 must really look like a 2 seater car :D

the drive to Tofino was amazing. Zero traffic and tons of hairpins. Though I almost got into big doo doo when I took a 30kph corner at around 60 in torrential rain at 11pm on the way to the wickanninish inn, the 8 was REALLY sure footed and confident around blind corners even though I've never driven that road before. My only complaint was that even though the trunk was big, the opening was really small. I couldn't fit a cooler in there so I had to take a small plastic bucket and wrap it with bags to collect oysters we found on the beaches. Plus, if I had collected the oysters on the first day, it would've been cooked by the time I got home with the heat from the exhaust in the trunk! But all in all, everyone stayed comfortable.
