I voted for Greddy only because I have had good sucess with their products in my Rx7. I haven't heard anything negative about Racing Beat.

I've heard the racing beat exhaust at their shop in anaheim...its a very low toned, mello, yet louder than stock exhaust...not rice rocket at all...no burping, farting, etc...just a nice deep tone that replaces the wheezing from the stock exhaust...the four inch tips and the fitment of the exhaust is beautiful in person...this exhaust totally finishes off the rear of the 8...

My racing beat is on order...i'm number 57 in their newest waiting list...shipments should be in this week or next as they are getting 150 in this week...

As a driver of a car with a minimal number of aftermarket parts I always support Racing Beat and other Mazda specialist manufacturers. Theres my vote.

A quick update..... the subcomponents are due in today (6/7) and we should start to begin production within a couple days. Once the process starts to flow, we should have systems later this week!

if you are lookin for a more sutle exhaust i think racing beat all the way. if you want a more louder one i think the greddy will fit you best. personally i don't like the big a$$ tips on the greddy so racing beat all the way !!!

I am still in the market for an exhaust myself. I wasn't aware that Racing Beat isn't shipping yet. I do like the look though.

Hou-TX-RX-8, Racing Beat is shipping but is having trouble keeping up with demand, so I was told. They have worked out the kinks in their supply chain and should have systems available soon.

One thing I like about Racing Beat is that their engineering philosophy is clearly stated on their website. Although it seems trite for me to say, you must read the information they have available to see what I mean. The only reason I bought the Borla cat-back was because I couldn't wait for the Racing Beat model. On the other hand, when I got the sways, end-links, and springs, they matched precisely with the description on the website and I am a quite happy customer. Their over-the-phone cutomer relations are also excellent.

OK, I just got off the phone with Racing Beat. Today, Thursday, June 10, at 4:21 PST, they were unloading the shipment of RX-8 cat-back exhaust systems from the truck. They have to inspect them and move them into their warehouse, then start calling people on the waiting list and shipping them out.

They hope to start shipping them out tomorrow, continuing into early next week. They have 65 extra units beyond their waiting list, so presumably, anyone who wants one right now can buy one without waiting.

:D

I ordered the greddy exhaust. I have heard nothing but good things about both companies so it is mainly a personal preference.

As far as the tips go there is only 0.5" differnce from the Racingbeat to the Greddy.

I just thought that, if you want an aftermarket exhaust to change the sound of your car then why not go for the Greddy....Deep and Throaty.... If you catch my drift. (...J/K....)

It's all about your personallity...............

I just got my Greddy installed today and am extremely pleased!! I was really worried that it would be loud; I've read every post here I could found and several folks said they found it too loud. I was never worried about ricey; it's not even close and I was assured of that from the get-go. It's deep, it's throaty, it's smoooooooooooth It even sounds great when coming to a stop - a nice soothing low purr I hated to turn her off but couldn't think of anyplace else to drive :D

I'm much happier with the sound than I thought I would be. Edit: I think the Greddy finally makes the car sound as solid as it looks and feels.

Greddy Exhaust

I'm glad to hear the reviews abt. Greddy exhaust, I have placed an order for this upgrade and has patiently waiting over 2 mos. Cancelled the order through another online store cause I got a "better" deal, not knowing the promised date of shipping was not met, now I'm still waiting(that 35 bucks of savings) doesn't seemed worth the wait. If you want to order it, I found RX8store.com still has 23 of 'em, just work on da price w/ 'em, good guys to talk with, but since I already waited, will be waiting till I get mine from the people I ordered from. Next time, I won't be ordering parts if they are not in stock as it is pain in the a... to wait.

i like 'em both, and i love both companies, but since racing beat is a rotary shop and the people over there are just awesome, my vote's for rb

c'mon, support your rotary specialists! :D
