hey, i was just curious how much you guys are paying for gas. what is the price in your area right now for 91+ octane gas? for me, i live in the seattle, WA area and here it is around $2.60 for 92 octane.

Approx. 1.1 EUR for 1l 95 octane, that's roughly $5 per gallon.

Will be driving my wife's new Volvo S80 through Europe this September and am bracing for the astronomical price of fuel there. It was rough four years ago and I'm expecting it to be even higher now.

The Europeans have been paying more than double what we pay for their fuel for the more than 20 years I've been going there. OPEC sets the price for a barrel of light, sweet crude and the refining process is pretty standardized the world around. So what is it, then... enormous taxes?

i paid 1.98 a gallon for 92 octaine yesterday here in madill. god knows what it will be tomorrow. still it beats what i would have paid if i hadnt fled california last year.

changed to $2.05 yesterday for 91.oct in n.c

Yep - in the UK over 80% of the cost of fuel is in taxes. Worlds most expensive fuel I think.

wow...I don't think I could afford my 8 over in the UK. I'm anal about my mpg here, I can't imagine how I would be over there. I'd probably cry a little every time I noticed the gauge going down :(

Everyone complains about the high cost but I notice the freeways are still jammed. So, how's the traffic in UK with $6 gas? Just wondering how expensive it would have to get to make any appreciable change in overall driving habits.

In the last couple days in Huntsville, AL, the discount places have gone down 3 or 4 cents a gallon. The high priced places have not gone up this week. Yesterday, the com. markets had the wholesale price to about 1.28. It was about 1.45 a week or so ago. Hopefully, prices will stabilize soon.

i'm not the most informed person in the world, why the hell is gas going so friggin high? 253+ for 91 chevron. no good. at this pace it be three dollars by the end of the year. so when does that hydro rx8 come out ?

$2.15 for 93 octane Chevron. If you are worried about gas prices why did you buy this car in the first place? I'm planning a trip to Germany this year or next and will bring plenty of dough with me so that I can rent a Porsche and take a spin, or five, along the Autobahn. It's expensive but I'll enjoy evry second of it, just like I enjoy taking a spin around town each day in the 8. If you want fuel economy go get a Prius.
