When asked about how sales of the RX-8 were affected by the recall, CEO O'Sullivan said "We launched in fall last year, so by the time we got numbers to the ports we were into the winter months. It's living up to expectations. There's no cash or rebates. It's hitting its stride, just as we're coming into RX-8 season."
