i was playing 3 card poker last night and i won with a 40-1 odds and 3-1 on top of that and here i am... gonna buy an intake...

I want it loud i LOVE loud but i dont want problems with it.. i want it under 400 US if you got

All i can think of is the RE Intake and K&N Typhoon can anyone get my a audio clip on these things

and im not a newb i already did a search didnt find much useful... any help would be awesome!

I actually take my chips and stack them by what i could buy. then when i bet, I say "is it really worth a set of coilovers?" keeps my betting very very conservative.

i'd stay away from an intake, go for a stage 1 or something

intakes arnt that loud. I had I/E on my civic intake a DC Sports Short Ram made a lil noice the Tanabe Exhaust i had roared and once it got a whole it was even worse so i decided to go back to stock and im much happier now and no more headaches.. not to mention i can hear the cops when they are pulling me over now..

there is nothing wrong with a honda with a shitcan! but a fart pipe is a problem!

Guys ifI had a 6speed Rx8 instead of automatic I would definitelyslap on a loud obnoxious exhaust and not givetwo shits. Automaticjust doesnt offer enough performanceto back up a loud exhaust soIm keeping mine stock. But stick owners should definitely upgrade. The Rx8 definitely needsmore grunt as its stock exhaust just doesntget the job done. This car deserves the attention.

From reading on the forum, I would get the RE. Both RE and K&N add noise (and from what people say the Renesis does get louder by a significant amount with an intake) and a small power gain at the top end, without causing too many people problems. I've seen more complaints about idle and other issues caused by installing a K&N, but then again it could be that more people are trying that one, hence the greater frequency of problems. I would say for noise purposes, an intake is a pretty decent "value" however for performance the gains are pretty minimal, at least until you get to the high end.

get the re you will be very happy with it
im on 150 miles and luv getting in the car.
bottom line intake is quite when normal driving and not trying to
get attention.
but when you get on it prepare to be amazed at the noise that intake makes.no other intake- me or my friends have installed
sound as loud.civics,jetta,rx7 na,expedition,eclipse,rsx,etc.

oh yeah if you decide to get the re intake
make sure to read there directions for install
very very carefully for easy no problem install.

Any aftermarket exhaust with an unmuffled straight pipe replacing the cat will make your car the loudest thing in town. Guaranteed to announce "the kid is coming" to anyone not deaf.

personally I am waiting for AEM Cold Air Intake. I called them the other day and they said within a month, they are testing now.
