(I have just ordered a black '8, and do a lot of mountain biking)

here is the picture.

I've seen the towbar under the 8 and it is well made and fits nicely.

could you tow a small trailer with that? with autox wheels/tires on it?

I think the manual has instructions for towing. If I'm not mistaken, it says "don't do it."

What any type of a towing arrangment would have on the RX-8s stability, maneuverability or power is unclear. I know I wouldn't take the chance.....

If you do try it...that may make an interesting post, as I'm sure there's plenty of mountain bikers who frequent this forum.
