Let me know when you go. I'll bring a couple of bricks too. I can't stand clear channel!

Time to invest in satellite radio I guess.

Well good news (for some)... The Edge has incorporated the Eagle's playlist into their own.

"Next up Weezer with hashpipe, then Metallica/Enter the Sandman, then Fountains of Wayne/Stacy's Mom, then Drowning Pool/Bodies..."

wierd mix, but I liked the Eagle and the Edge so it's fine with me. =/

Welcome to the world of Clear Channel, I work in the biz so I know, downloading is not killing the music business, Clear Channel is.
Think antitrust, CCE is the Microsoft of the promotion & radio world.
1st they buy out the smaller radio stations, then they force feed you the same 25 or so songs till you know them and want to puke.
Also when you go on tour, if you don't play their venues they strongarm, they won't promote you on their radio stations, also they pretty much don't play your song. You have to pay to play. (this is much more detailed and hidden because it's illegal.)
They use strong arm tactics at venues to make them use only CCE only produced shows, or won't book shows there anymore resulting in a loss of revenue.
If you notice all major act's shows are sponsored by CCE.

I could go into much more detail but I can say I hate Clear Channel.

Sounds like they're doing things as bad or worse than what MS has done and getting away with it.

CCE killed the Toadies

Add several bands to the Toadies list
Possum Kingdom was a great song.

I think Clear Channel owns more that 50% of all American radio stations, and there is not major tour that I've seen in the last few years that didn't go through Clear Channel.
Oh, another secret, the reason you pay so much at concerts for shirts and things is because most large venues put a 40% markup on merch and take that cut. You will support that band just the same by going to their website and buying merch there, unless the record company is taking their cut.

Clear Channel blows...there is a reason i am about to pay 10.0 a month for XM...and Clear Channel is it.

You're right. When I used to live in Shreveport, there was a station, 92.1 the Buzz. It was the best station I had ever listened to. Clear channel owned it and after about 8 months it turned to Christmas music. 24-7 Christmas music with no warning. I guess it's better for the station to not tell people that they wonm't have a job in a week.
