McDonald Mazda will be clearing a large lot for us, setting up a tent and tables, providing some form of food and refreshments, music, etc - AND they've got two Mazda factory reps coming! In addition, there will be at least 1 demo RX-8 there available for drives, including trade-off driving when we do the afternoon's "drive up to somewhere pretty."

As we've mentioned before, there will also be some vendors there... Mazda parts, tires, electronics, and of course, performance goodies. Most of the vendors coming will be donating to the raffle drawing, so there'll be a chance at getting some nice stuff if your luck is good. :-) There will even be a guy who's been racing RX-7s for years, and a rotary tuner shop there!

One thing though: This meet, as it's at a dealership, will be open to the public, and McDonald will be advertising the heck out of it locally. This is more good than bad, as we may have a ton of people show up and may bring a bunch of new members out and increase our visibility in general. But it's bad in that like with any car show, we'll need to keep a close eye on our cars.

Of course, after the initial rally, we will be doing a GROUP DRIVE as mentioned before. Driving directions will be handed out at the meet.

Ah so excited for this. I'm praying my RB exhaust comes before the meet.

Landon, are you still going to line up a hotel or should I just take care of it myself?

edit: I somehow missed omi's mention of a group hotel. Guess that answers that question!

The super-quick-down-and-dirty driving directions:
From I-25, either from the South or North; C-470 West to Broadway. North on Broadway. I've never been there, but I checked it out on DeLorme '04.

Yeah, I went and checked it out in person today too. Doc's directions will work - if you exit from C470 at Broadway and go about 5 miles East to the dealership.

Or, if you miss C470 (or of you're coming from the North) then exit Arapahoe, go West (toward the mountains) to Broadway, turn right (North) and go about 2 miles North to McDonald Mazda.

In either case McDonald is on the right of Broadway. Turn in at the big Mazda sign and park by the tent if you're driving an RX-8. :D
