So I got my new RX8 last week. Velocity Red, 6 speed, that big $4K package that comes with everything. I also got the wing. But they have to order the wing so I arranged to go back to the dealer a week later (yesterday) and get the wing put on and get an inspection sticker. So I left him two voice mails, got no call. Then today, come to find out RX8 wings are on backorder from Mazda. No ETA. This sucks. I already paid for the damn thing, and I have no idea when I'm goona actually get it put on my car!

 

What wing are you talking about? The stock spoiler?

If so, look around on the for sale section, as many are upgrading to MS spoilers and the stock spoiler can be gotten cheap.

 

Yes, stock spoiler, and its a little late for a used one. I already paid for my wing, its worked in to my lease.

 

I'd sell you mine if i had the $$ to pick up the MS wing.. DOH! but not anytime soon... oh well..

 

Get the MP3 player installed, and buy the stock spoiler from someone on here

Yeah, but you can drop another $700 and get the MS Speed spoiler.

It looks a lot nicer than the stock one anyway

 

negotiate w/them to split the extra the ms wing would cost. a few hundred bucks is worth it

 

I looked it up on their web site, I'd rather have the stock one.

 

I say tell them to give you back the money ,and then order the spoiler from Ebay , it's much cheaper there , like 210 shipped or so . .. and installation is easy as drilling and screwing on 4 screws.

Yes it is mine. And what kit are you talking about? Mine has no kits on it. It looks too orange in my pick though I need to make a new one.

No i just meant the 4K package that comes with like the roof and the nice seats etc. The only thing I got out of the accessories book is the wing.

yeah there should be a way for you to get some money back for the spoiler. I mean you are in essence paying to "borrow" an 8 WITH a spoiler on it, not one without it. No way would I just wait around for them. Plus like guys have said, much cheaper elsewhere.

Maybe you can switch trunk lids at the dealer with one with a stock spoiler.

 

Does ANYONE else have one on backorder? Theres still no word on mine and I'm getting very annoying. Also I don't think they have any off the truck with wings, I think they all get put on seperate?
