Ok, now I feel a little guilty because I lied lastnight.

If someone comes to your door that you've never met before, knocks on your door at 11:30pm, says he's your neighbor and asks for $20 bucks.. what do you do??

Say you just happen to have $20..

I told him I don't carry cash.. which I normally don't. He then rode off on his bike, and I went to go check on my car.. Was this the right thing? What else could one do? Aside from shooting him.. (for all you texans)

I forgot to tell you, that maybe grab a gun and hold it when you answer the door. Strangers don't like that and aren't keen on coming back.

I still stand by my opinion that the guy was casing your place. :confused:

I wouldn't feel bad about lying... maybe should have added another lie that your 'kind' doesn't believe in money, because it won't hold up to stargate speed in the mother-ship.

I would have done the same thing. That would have really weirded me out.

I remember something similar happening to me several years ago: one night (it was probably around 11:00) someone knocked on my apartment door. I opened the door, the guy asked if he could hang out in my apt. for a few minutes, he was hiding from someone. Of course I said "no" and closed the door in his face! I can only imagine what was going on!

i think you did the right thing since you did not know him.so many people want to scam you. but he had balls comming up to your house that late

i've seen him hang out with the naked guy next door before. but i dont have anything in my apartment anyway

I have an intercom, but you could have done the peephole/yell thing.
