... and placed 54th out of 1289 in the novice class at that location. :D No prior racing experience, only last year's event.

On a somewhat related note, I drove an 8 for the first time. I could not stop smiling after I got out, and test drove it at least two or three more times. I am totally buying one as soon as financially possible. That means probably not for at least a year :(

That was a great time, and I imagine that you are still 'floating' from the experience.

As for not being able to buy one until a year from now... at least it gives you a goal! :D

There are a number of changes that I noticed from last year.

- Less advertising. There's really just the clinics, the course, the test drives, and the gokarts. Much less freebies, no Falken tent, etc.

- You can take any clinics you want to a total of 8. No longer is it 2 visits to each clinic.

- They don't use the same car that you're racing in the clinics. Only one clinic was the 3 sedan - the others had a 3 hatch and a 6.

On Sunday they had a Falken stand. Since I went to Deal's Gap last year I missed last year's RevItUp. This year: I missed the Red Bull handouts, I missed the Falken folks, getting a subscription to the Mazda mag, and probably a few other things because I finished my driving close to 6PM and they seemed in a huge rush to leave. And I'm pretty sure I was somewhere close to half as opposed to the top 50 or 100 with my time.

Anyone notice how one Ian Baker did? He's a friend of mine who placed top 10 last year. Unfortunatley I wasn't able to make it this year.

Ian Baker finished 328th overall, and Daddio won of course...
