Just wanted to know if any members live near the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland? I've seen a couple of RX8's and never been able to meet up with any of you. Lets see what we can do!

My baby and my boat live in B'more, but I work in DC and am usually driving through CP on my way home Sunday afternoons (actually just around noon). I'm always up for a meet, perhaps for brunch at the diner?

You've probably seen me in my shiny velocity red "8" (shiny, b/c it usually just came out from being washed ) going up and down Rt.1 near and around the U.M. I've haven't really seen too many red RX-8's around the area but I'm sure there coming. If you want to gather up some other guys with 8's then give me a shout!

Mazda_newbie I think I saw you once and you were with people in the car. I drove right behind you until you were about to turn towards Greenbelt. I think I've seen your car parked by Elkton too!

It seems like alot of us travel on RT 1 so we should have a meet there some time. Maybe near the Campus or on the Campus?

You know I think I remember that! Was actually going to Quizno's for lunch that day. I don't ever travel to Elkton but hey maybe you can talk to that guy too! We'll all have to get together one day and have a little meet or something. It would be cool traveling in a caravan of RX-8's going up Rt.1 or the surrounding areas.

I drive through the area several days a week on 495/95. Still not seeing a lot of 8s on the road.....

Well, there's the big one coming May 22nd (http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=27124). Just two weeks away! RX-8 owners seem a little shy about actually signing up. Don't let the 350Zs scare you. They're friendly.:cool: But seriously, we would like to have an idea of how many are going to go. So everyone either send the email to Dissolved to be put on the official attendee list or post a message in the Skyline "sticky" that you are joining the cruise. We had ten RX-8s at our Leap Day meet. Let's top that this time! Lots and lots of GREAT Photo Opportunities on this drive!:D

We will be doing it again in the Fall when the leaves change the other way, too.

How about we meet one Saturday night at the Barne & Nobles in Rockville. There's usually a lot of other Imports that meet there friday and Saturday nights during the summer months.

rockville is a rice show, i wouldn't go there.

I work on campus and park my Titanium Grey 8 near a nice red one that belongs to another guy in my building. Let me know if you guys get together and I'll try to grab him too. (Mazda_newbie, you're not the guy in my building are you?)

Nope, I live near College Park though. Where did you guys buy your RX8 from? I was going to buy it from College Park Mazda but they gave me the big run around in promising the car I wanted from another dealer which never showed up.

Anyway, I'm up for a meet too. I work nights so I'm usually free during the day and usually on the weekends. Any of you guys planning on going the Summit point RX8 meet in August? There's also the "Skyline drive" in Shenendoah I believe this Saturday but I won't be able to attend :mad:

there'll be a whole lotta 8's on campus this coming fall semester..
last semester i've seen a silver one parked in lot 1 during the day and two red 8's at night time.. i got a blue one recently and my friend is getting one soon.. maybe we can all get together sometime next semester.. my car will be in lot 1 as well

another new Red RX8 in the area :-D. Just bought this weekend, I live right off of RT1 about 10 miles north of College Park.
Crusing around the area alot as I am a network tech. You may see me anywhere from Towson to NOVA.
UGG the MPG is going to hurt. But it is a pain that I will like. :-)
