As much as I hate to contribute to all the polls currently on this forum, the "How much do you gross" thread had a number of people thinking that their monthly cost of ownership (payments and insurance, I'm not including gas and maintenance) at over $700!!!

That got me thinking how many people are buying this car with $0 down. I personally believe in saving for things that you want, and while it may be a bit unrealistic to try to save $34k (or whatever the cost of my GT model w/o nav but with tax and license will be), I'm going to put down a substantial chunk of change, hopefully in the $12k ballpark. Based on that, I'm thinking that my mothly cost of ownership will be about $500 - $550 or so. What are the rest of us planning?

You should have added a "Mommy and Daddy are paying for it" option.

I had everything lined up then got the Ax at work Now I start a new job so by Sept of this year I should have it with about 2000 or maybe more down on it.

Ahem...."I mean I'm 17 so my parents money will pay for it".

Sorry Azn.... but just had to say that :D .

I am in my early 20s and paying for it myself. As for me i'm planning to put in around $10-15k. Unless I decide to wait one more year (hopefully not :( ) and put down 80% of the price.

I'm assuming you mean WHEN we pick the car up, so ... I marked 100%. I put down $2000 for the pre-order, but will pay for it in full when the car arrives.

About $20K Canadian: but please understand, that with taxes, frt, PDI, the fully loaded GT will be $51,700 CDN. So 20K doesn't end up being that great.

Fully loaded GT with Nav is $43,595. Frt, PDI, is $1400. That's $45,000. Tax around these parts is 15%. That is $6750 . Add 'er up: $51,750 give or take.

I am putting down 10k. The total cost of the car plus TAX, TAG, And dealer BS fee is 33,277.00. I will finance 23k and change.
The payments should be around 400.00 to 450.00. Go to edmunds.com. they have an online payment calculator. It will give you a ballpark. Don't forget to add taxes :)

I'm not putting anything down because I am planning to lease the car through my business. It's great having your own business to write off "expensive cars", Oops, I mean "expenses".
