So I'm waiting for Car & Driver TV to come on and there's this totally lame riceboy show on. Right now there's a bunch of kids with Civics and such at the drag strip. They'll show a shot of some thug in front of his Civic with a bunch of stickers and a big wing, and then show them run 16s. Fast and Furious! :p

This show gives the true "compact enthusiasts" a bad name.. Me and my friends cringe watching this crap.. :mad: Maybe it's because my Prelude friends are older and more mature, I guess the Civic boys are younger. :p

I second that thought. However, here in the SF Bay Area, who needs TV--if I wanted to get my daily dose of ricers and their crappy cars, all I need to do is walk outside. (~_~)

I survived the horror of this piece of crap waiting for C&D and the RX-8 feature yesterday. They had a 10 minute interview with some poor, sloppy DJ who drove a stock Denali, followed by an interview with some far-less-than-hot, post-ceasarian skank of a cover model slobbering over all show and no show, low price rice! Poor.....
The only decent part was watching one of the gump-ass, inept editors careen into ditches during his sorry attempt at rally racing. At least that had some "hahaha, look at that dumb bastard" laugh factor.
::They have no puking smilies::
...long day at work, what can I say? :p

Don't you people it's the stickers that make the cars run faster ET times... come on people... where were you during The Fast & The Furious!!!
On another comment... I feel ashamed when I see crapilly (if that's a word) done up cars whenever I'm in my civic. I'm just glad to know that I'll have a Mazda later this year to play with-

The guy that was careening in to ditches was Dave Coleman. He writes the "Technobabble" articles in sport compact car every month. From what I can gather reading his articles, he does not fit the "super2ner" mold. His articles are always very well written, full of very technical info (buger and wakeech could probaly learn a thing or two from him). I dont want to sound like i'm kissing his ass, but "technobabble" is the first article i read every month.

HEY DON'T KNOCK THE STICKERS...
I slapped a turbo sticker on my 2nd Gen N/A 7 and it must have added at least 50HP!

Stickers.... I'm about to put a few on my 3rd Gen
"I don't waste my gas on Honda's"
"This Car Doesn't Race Civics"
Because 80% of Civic drivers that pull up next to me at a light need to rev their POS up and look over like they are going to show me what a real car can do. I always nod to decline the race but they still take off like a bat out of hell. Then they give me the hazard lights. I could care less because I know I came out winning by not spending $5 showing them why an RX-7 pays 4x the insurance they pay on their economy family car. Don't get me wrong, I like Civics. They make great beaters and if you pour enough money into them, they can made do what the Honda engineers didn't intend for them to do.
