That would depend on how I was murdered. The punishment should fit the crime.

okay, to clarify, lets say you were killed in a brutal, cold blooded way, for no better reason than to slate a psyho madman's thirst for blood.

wouldnt care what his penalty was but in his next life i'd want him to come back as something pretty meaningless like an amoeba or paramecium.

in that case I would force him to watch and hear his loved ones die a horrible death, such as tossing them into a fiery pit. Then after he was done weeping, I'd have someone beat him to death with a baseball bat but save the vital organs for last to ensure he feels maximum pain.

It's scary that I was thinking something very similar. While this is a very horrible way to think and I'm probably going to hell just for saying it, the easiest way to hurt someone is to hurt the ones they love. I would do everything listed below to every family member of his first before doing it to him. Discalimer: this is assuming that this is a horror movie of course!

All of this assumes the word "I" is substituted for the punisher. I would actually like to see more permanent mind games played. I think watching all of this happen to his family members would definitely leave him mentally scarred forever. Physical pain is temporary (but fun!!!) and death is too quick and easy. Mental pain if done properly will never go away. I want him to close his eyes at night and be filled with such horrible nightmares that he would rather beg for death or physical torture every day for the rest of his life just to avoid having to endure the anguish of falling asleep at night. Then I would oblige his wish with massive physical pain all the while continuing the mindgames. I would start by having his toes literally just pulled from his feet by the roots one by one every hour for 10 hours. I would want the sight and sound of ligaments and tendons stretching to their snapping point to be forever burned in his mind. Then I would do the same with his fingers. I would have his kneecaps removed with a spoon and then fed to him soaked in his own feces. I would snap his achilles tendons so they would spring up the inside of his legs like rubber bands. Strangely enough I would leave it at that. I want him to look mostly like a human being on the outside but knowing that he will never function normally again. I would actually leave his eyes and ears alone so he could see his facial expressions in a giant mirror while he listens to himself scream in terror. Only when he could stand no more would I rehabilitate him to the limits of his abilities so he could almost feel normal again. Then I would begin the horrible process all over again endlessly. You can hurt someone worst when they are most healthy. I would want him to live a long life in solitary confinement with zero contact with another human being forever filled with the memories of his experience. He would never have another person talk to him or acknowledge his existence.

I'm probably either going to hell now or am going to have the FBI knocking on my door in the middle of the night.

Ugggh... you guys who fantasize about torturing innocent family members to punish a killer give me the creeps.

I have always felt that murderers, abusers (of animals as well as people) and other perpetrators of violent crimes should have done to them exactly the same things they have done to their victims.

Rapists should be raped. If they tortured their victims, they should be tortured in the same way. Murderers should meet their maker not via some painless, antiseptic lethal injection but by the same brutal, painful means they used on their victims.

Dahmer should have had a drill used on his head before being tortured to death. I'm sure it would have been easy to find plenty of people willing to stand in line to wield the Makita, too.

And please don't whine "cruel and unusual punishment" to me. These lowlifes have forfeited any and all of their rights to humane treatment by blatantly disregarding those same rights for their victims.

On a tangent, but related... does anyone here think it's idiotic to give a lesser sentence to someone convicted of "attempted murder" just because the victim has the audacity to survive? If the perp intended to kill the victim, don't give him a break on his sentence because he's an incompetent!

I wasn't posting a realistic scenario. I actually don't believe in going after innocent people. In truth I actually agree with your point of view. I do feel that they should have done to them the exact same thing that they did.

If someone killed me I'd come back and tip thier trash cans over on trash day for the rest of thier lives!! THAT WILL TEACH THEM!!!!

I would want him to be forced to work a corporate job and support my family the rest of their life- basically the rest of their life working to pay for my family in a setting as close to hell as you can get- corporate america

I'd build Sharon a lovely little homestead in the Jenin refugee camp. I'm not a fan of his. I think he has done as much as anybody to screw up Israel's peace and security.

I'd have to pull out a little middle eastern torture tactic and hang the guy by his feet. Then start to melt the skin on his sides and underarms with a blow torch (as the punisher says it feels cold it's so hot), then press his arms to his sides and tie him up for a while so they can fuse together. Then you leave him in a pit for a couple hours and then you bring him up, untie him, and rip his arms away from his sides and let him hang in agony by his feet for a while then start over again. After a couple days of that, I'd pull out some Mongolian tactics and tie him to a post in the desert with a glass of water just out of his reach and cut off his eyelids. Then, after his eyes melted I'd untie him and just let him roam the earth. Well, maybe I'd break his leg or something first, but then he'd be free.

I would have to go the psychological route as well. Make him so crazy he will be begging to die. Sever his spinal cord paralyzing him from the waist down. Tie a torniquet around his upper thigh and cut through his leg with a steak knife while he watches. Then carterize the stub with a blow torch. The best part will be force feeding him his own leg all the while pissing in his face and shocking his testicles with a car battery.
