Nice pictures,
I went to school in Lincoln and have been a big Husker fan.
I played ball in the late 70's.
Go big red.

is it just me or does it seem obvious that was not the front that was on the car when bought. the paint just looks lighter in most of these pics, still envy runs from my tears.

"yes, yes.. drown me in the sweet tears of your envy!" - cartman (or something like that)

yes, i know its a mazdaspeed frontend.. im referring to the paint seeming "off"..

maybe i'm just picky, or maybe theres something about that front end!!!

I noticed the paint too. Maybe its the lighting?

Same color -- this has been discussed before -- the paint on the bodykit pieces is apparently applied in a different direction or something -- in certain light it reflects a slightly darker or lighter color. Don't really notice it except in pictures from certain angles -- notice it more on the Ti since it is a darker metallic than the sunlight silver.

It is a genuine MazdaSpeed front -- funny thing is -- if you turn the front upside down and take a pic (I did this when they were installing it) -- you can't see the difference in color -- why doesn't Mazda just paint them in the other direction I am kind of a perfectionist so I have already asked a paint shop to repaint for me -- just haven't had the time yet.

Probably not -- unless I see one I really like. The MazdaSpeed rear doesn't really grab me -- I will wait and see. I am havign the rear flares painted on the bottom to match the 2-tone of the MS kit.

Nice car man....really nice job.

about the calipers. You sold me on the black. I was on the fence with black or silver.

Did you do the Polak stencil thingy, or are those the stickers?
I cant tell if you did the hubs or not. I think I will do those black also.

I did use Polak's stencils (thanks Polak -- great product!). Coat of white -- put on stencil and then black. Works great! After much debate I decided on the black/white combo -- after seeing a Modena with the same caliper colors -- put me over the edge to finally do it :D Used the Duplo caliper kit you can pick up at your FLAPS -- cost about $15 I think.

I have noticed that all of the silver RX8s that have the Mazdaspeed front end the paint does not match perfectly... Silver is very difficult to paint at different times and have it blend...

Thumbs up

To me, the most striking characteristic about your pictures is your choice of backgrounds and the way you shot the pictures. Great job!

Yes -- actually 34% visible light transimission and 61% solar energy rejection, 61% glare reduction:D

The ceramic tint gives a little different look than the typical metallic.

Stopped by my bodyshop yesterday and they didn't recommend repainting -- from 80% of view angles the paint it is a dead on match -- from certain lighting angles the front bumper is a little lighter than the rest of the car -- they aren't sure that they could do any better. They actually said that the color is a perfect match -- it is the metallic flake that apparently is reflecting differently.
