OK... Realistically when are you planning to buy an RX-8?

I picked 0-12 months after.....actually toward the end of that period primarily due to financial reasons.

*big sigh* if only... ;) ah well, i'd be more comfy getting an FC anyways (someday)

don't you guys realized that nearly every car is BOUGHT already? at my dealership (Mazda of Brampton) they are getting 20 cars and already have 30 deposits for preorders (which means 10 ppl will be very disappointed).

not to mention that they only have 1000 scheduled for next year as well. you'll either be buying it in June, or not at all...

Well for me, the rx-8 didn't come out soon enough. The expedition lease was expiring, so I got the C-coupe. So I'm in this ride for 3 yrs. So for me, I'm probably in the RX-8 2.5yrs after launch.

I'm such a city boy (live and work in the city), it's just not funny. The Benz has a computer that shows all the nice stats and the thing that it most shows is that all I need is a moped... I'm in denial.

I've had the car since October (4 months), and the fastest average speed I have managed on any tank full of gas is 36km/hr, usually I'm in the 20's.

250hp would be such a waste... heck my current 192hp is a waste... even a Mazda Protege would be overkill for the driving I do.. :(

if by any luck i am getting this car i would either put an order sometime in July ( after i actually get to test drive it instead of just reading stuff off the net and watching pics and videos)

I am expecting as big of a waiting list as the 350z which at one point was 12 months here in Calgary ( back to 6 months now)..
so if i somehow somehow do get the Rx-8.. i would hope to have it by 2004 summer

Waiting list in April'02, ordered on February 17th - the dealer expects the car to be delivered in June.

I pre-ordered mine on Jan 20th ....still waiting on hearing about lease rates. Hope to get delivery around Aug 1st (need to ride out my existing lease on a 2000 Maxima SE). Anyone interested in buying out my Max? It's in pristine condition......

won't be for at least 2 years, more likely 3.

my current car is only a year old, and i may have some major financial decision to make in the next few years that would be impossible if all my money was tied up paying for an rx-8
