does anyone know the location of the battery in the rx8? since it has 50/50 wegith distribution i would assume that it would be in the trunk but since its rotary, maybe the engine is light enough that they dont have to do that. like in my bmw the battery is in my trunk

This is why ship, plane, and even some car designers still use the phrases "starboard" (right side of a vehicle when looking forward) and "port" (left side of a vehicle when looking forward).

That black box right of the battery. Is that the stock intake? Looks pretty big. Hmmm... *drooling* :D ... if that is the intake... it might mean room for FI. Anyways correct if I'm wrong.

It certainly looks like an air box of considerable volume but the radiator has to be in there somewhere, so It's hard to say how much room there is. With a battery relo it looks there will be room to work with. :D
