I finally got some pictures of the CF b-pillars. This is one of the best mods available it really cleans the area up.

Yes, they are the EVO-R pieces. They were $89 and shipped to me in 3 days.

Evo - Are there any left without the badge? If so I'll take a pair. If not, then I'll have to pass. I like the your previous look which was simple and clean. Its the reason I didn't go with the MS, or piano black w/ rotary, etc.

You can have it with or with out the badge. The set comes with the badge, you can put them on or without.

Looks awesome im gonna order me a set soon. BTW what is spirit R?

Spirit R is the last special edition of RX-7. ONly 1500 were made. This badge looks exactly like the ones on the Spirit R RX-7. Except it has RX-8 on it. Means Spirit of Racing.

The fit on these is HORRIBLE and I am pissed.

If I hadn't paid by Pay Pal I'd deny the charge.

For $100 USD they should fit like OEM,there's 4mm sticking out off of my door.

Now I'm out $100 and have to peel this shit off of my car :(

It figures,I wouldn't either if the parts I sold didn't fit.

I spent $100,and for that Evo-R buys,oh,$10,000 in bad press if this doesn't get fixed ASAP.

How f'ing hard could it be to correctly measure the b-pillars??

Damn,I HATE ill-fititing parts!

And yes,they're correctly ALL lined up,it's just that whoever made these didn't do their auto-cad correctly.

Do not order these until they are PROVEN to FIT,unless you know how to trim carbon fiber (I don't!)

I'd be happy to tear them off the car and take a dozen pics of how they DON'T line up correctly if there's any questions....

For $100... Isn't the original ones just a bit more? like 120-130 range for the RX-8 version? I got the Mazdaspeed ones for 180... but that was awhile back.

I'd HAPPILY pay $180 if they FIT.....grrrr......I'm SO pissed....things like this have a way of wrecking my day.....

Mine fit perfect, could be the installer.
I will post my pictures, they look great.

I lined them up six times before installing them,that was the best that they'd do....and it's not good enough.
I've done enough mods to figure out this simple one,it's the parts.
I could take pics of every angle,but won't.
The pics I posted are clear enough,I believe.
If I made them fit the outer door line,they overlapped my doors windows by the same amount they currently outerlap my door.
This isn't a difficult installation if the parts are cut right,and I'm not the only one with ill-fitting ones:

Right now I have a brand new car w ill-fitting,overpriced b-pil covers on it.....and there's no way it'd show well w these attached,so off they will likely come....I don't see any other way around it.....

Both sides are off,the passenger side moreso than the driver's side.
I was able to get them lined up easily enough,it's just that the width is 4-6mm too wide at midpoint (which I didn't see before installing)and they're about 6mm shorter than the black paint scheme....they don't fit over the painted area,there's a few mm top and bottom clearance over the cf pieces.
If you could trim them it'd be fixable,as it sits it's barely usable,and I wonder if I want to risk the paint underneath just to keep an imperfect modification.....

Sorry for all the frustrations. I'll make sure you end up as a happy customer. This is the first time I got message saying the B pillars don't fit well. I can give you refund on the B pillar or replace it with a new one. They are all cut the same, since it is cut by same machine blade. When you line up do not line up with the top of the door line or the bottom line. It should be place right in between. We try to make a installation document for customers. This will make things clear. The reason I you can not PM me, is because my PM function is been disable by the admin. It will be up once I'm a spondsor of this fourm. Hey EVORINC I bought some and would like replacements that fit. Mine seem like they came up on the short end. They overlap on the door edges like preachers but not as much. I really do not want a refund but would like some that fit or instructions with a new set. You have a little lip at the top that fits perfectly and that is why I lined them up their even with the black line and at the bottom they came up about 4-5 mm short. I placed the covers at mid-way,between top and bottom,that was the closest fit I saw,and I didn't notice that the width in the middle of the covers was a tad bit wide.
(I couldn't have compensated for it anyway,the fit I got was the closest I could get,I followed the window line,not the paint.)
I fit the curve in the cf covers to the little curve in the window, which left me at midpoint....so I split the 5mm that leegina has at the bottom of his car between the top and bottom of mine.No matter how you mount them,they come up short.

I don't know what I want to do,I'm afraid if I take them off that I'm gonna' lose paint....and that doesn't appeal to me....my car has 1100 miles,no way I want to f'up the paint....
The adhesive is definately top-rate,as is the carbon fiber,btw.

(As to quality,no complaints-it's fitment that I take issue with-)

Personally,I'd rather see a tolerance (that if not perfect) leaned a mm or two then towards 'slightly under measured target width' instead of 'over',and I believe that this is the case w these b-pils.
-Imo you need to have your autocad guy modify the profile slightly to make for a cleaner install.
(Then sell off these old ones on EBay,lol!)
If you rescale,I'd definately like another pair.
(No point in installing another like pair,as the same results will occur.)

Thanks for the good service,and I apologise if I came off as too pissed,but imo you need a re-scaling before these covers are truly right (and at $100 USD,which isn't cheap,they should be 100% perfect,nothing less-and they aren't.)
This is simple autocad,not rocket science.

Tell ya what,if they don't peel off in the next 12 months because of the overlap I'll call it all good.
If they peel,or if you redesign the width to make for an cleaner install,(and you really owe it to us,RX-8 owners,your buyers;to do this,imo) then you replace 'em....
