I wasn't talking about an event that happened in the book. I was using specific scene in the movie as an example.

Furthermore, this may be a car forum. However, it is also a community of people. Some of which like to interact with eachother by discussing things other than cars. My thread was restricted to the lounge which is an area designated to ANY topic that IS NOT related to the rx-8 or cars in general.

If you do not like to read posts that are not about the RX-8 or you do not like to read my posts, then do NOT read them.

There is another point I'd like to make. Many modern works of art are based upon the works of others. This has happend throught time. That does not automatically discredit the latter work. Would you discredit Homer's "Illiad" and "The Odessy" ?? Many people feel that his works were derivatives of earlier writings witten as much as 20 or 300 years before his time. What about the "West Side Story" ?? It's a blatant ripoff of "Romeo and Juliet". Of course, let's not forget that some people feel that Shakespeare did not author his own works.

Regardless, just because a work was based off of another does not mean that cannot bring something new to the table. Like a verbal story being repeated, each teller ads a bit of himself to the tale.

Now, we get to my final point.

IF YOU DONT LIKE IT, STOP READING IT!
