mazdaspeed carbon fiber grill inserts

if anyone has any information on these carbon fiber insers let me know. This picture was taken at IAS in Los Angeles in the Mazdaspeed booth.

I'd be all about them, but it looks like it ruins the functionality of the strakes...? Any info on these would be greatly appreciated.

Cool Strakes.....

I think what Landon meant (and I'm wide open to correction!) is the strakes wouldn't fit on these vents ....

The CF vents seem to be 'proud' of the surface, not flush, and the strake option wouldn't sit right.

You're probably right. When I first read "functionality of the strakes" I had to think about it though. I wasn't aware they were a functional mod!

IMO strakes are kind of a retro thing, and carbon fiber is definitely not retro, so the two don't really go together anyway.

would look reallllly good with the mazdaspeed cf b pillar too... flowing CF theme outside the car.
